Cliff's descriptive picture of a country pub

Picture: Cliff's picture of two seemingly obedient Airdale Terriers. Good dogs!!

A pair of Airdales being obedient!

Photo: Cliff Penny in his workshop 1953.
Here you see Cliff in his workshop working on the 'finish' to his Airdales picture.

The above photos depict the work of the fellow who was the very first winner of the Marquetry Society's National Exhibitions. The standard of Cliff's work was of a high calibre and would gain a high placing even today.
As soon as we can locate some of those photos of the exhibits that were taken at that first Exhibition we will display them on this web site for you (I myself can't wait to see them!) so, for the time being we hope these examples of Cliff's work will suffice, and will give you a taster of the high quality of the work being produced in the early 1950's.
