Norman Clegg's Marquetry Pictures

Those
who watch that popular television series "The Last of the Summer Wine" may have noticed that "Old Cleggie"; Norman Clegg, has had two marquetry pictures hanging on his living room wall for quite a long while now.

Those two pictures have been hanging there for at least the last ten years - if not longer. We have checked through loads of old catalogues and plans and designs for marquetry kits to see if we can identify the pictures, but, so far, we have been unable to find copies or any sort of version of those pictures.

We have had many discussions as to the origins of the pictures, but no one has been able to come up with an answer. Our Alf Murtell thinks they are most probably kit pictures, but, as we said, they do not seem to appear in the old catalogues.
So, once again, we have come up against the proverbial 'Brick Wall'.

One of our group has made their own versions of the pictures, hopefully these are reasonably accurate, but as the cameras never actually focused on them, it is difficult to be 100% correct. However, we display them here to see if anyone can recognise them. If you do recognise them, could you set our minds at rest and let us know their titles and original origins, or anything else about them. Thanks.

Possibly a Spanish themed subject?

Perhaps a Chapel on a hillside?
