The 2010 Redbridge Group Marquetry Competition

The Judges doing the judging!

And here's even more of the entries to the 2010 Redbridge Marquetry Group annual marquetry competition for you to  study - we hope you find them inspiring - and perhaps, even tempting enough for you to have a go at marquetry yourself!

Some of the marquetry work you see in these 2010 Group Competition pages is actually made by new marquetarians (yes, that is the name or nomenclature we apply to persons participating in marquetry) who have only recently joined our group as completely new beginners. They have found, as you will, that making marquetry pictures is a good deal easier than you think - so why not consider joining us and have a go yourself?

In fact you could check out our tutorial pages and gain all the knowledge you need to get started. Or, why not try what a lot of people do, and buy yourself a marquetry picture kit to see if it suits you? There are kits available for all levels of expertise from the newest of beginners up to advanced levels of marquetry expertise. Check out our Links page for suppliers.

Let's look forward to seeing some of your own work in our pages - we look forward to it - in the meantime, please enjoy some more of ours:
